Lalmatia Block D Park and Playfield is a community breathing space by its size, form and scale, which has been intended to develop as a focal point for revitalizing the urban life of Lalmatia community dwellers. As both cricket and football are played on this field, a flexible playfield predominantly for cricket may cater to the huge demand on the playground. Opening from the two roadsides and integrating all the existing trees inclines towards a seamless connection with outside pedestrians, hence the entire community. Soft edging intends to create a definition without any solid boundaries. As there is a school on the southwest side of the field, child and toddler zones will be provided to respect that. A gallery, along with toilet facilities and exercise grounds, was placed to serve the users. A central bicycle track can define the entire playfield, with careful fencing on the southwest side to protect the children and toddlers. The internal walkway is formally connected to all the facilities to define distinct settings for social interaction.
